Abstract

Light and dark feature design training for mobile applications is a community effort to improve knowledge and abilities in designing mobile application interfaces that respond to light and dark modes. Light and dark modes for mobile applications are growing in popularity and are seen as crucial features to deliver the greatest user experience in the constantly changing digital era. The goal of this community project is to train students and teachers to develop designs that work in both light and dark modes for mobile applications. Training covers learning how to deliver consistent and appealing designs in both light and dark modes, as well as effective design principles for both, as well as related development methodologies. The training technique combines theoretical and practical lessons with an emphasis on case studies using the login form for mobile applications. Participants will develop knowledge of crucial interface design elements such as color schemes, contrast, layout, icons, and other visual components. Participants should leave this workshop with the knowledge and abilities needed to create appealing and useful mobile application interface designs in both light and dark modes.
